This image is my own meditation on the O Antiphons. The Antiphons are seven chants based on Old Testament prophecies of Christ. They are sung in the days leading up to Christmas and have been in use since the sixth century. If you think you are unfamiliar with them, each antiphon is a verse of the well known hymn, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel!
Because each piece is hand pulled, minor variations are natural. Each print is a unique work of art.
